Cast House Supervisor - 3rd Shift

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the cast house section.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• • Communicate between shift.
  • Check T/M daily work (Standardize work).
  • Ensure safety polices are followed at all times and ensure 5S is respected
  • Control off line repairs, gather and analyze defect daily.
  • Fill in for team member (vacation, restroom, etc.).
  • Managing, coaching and directing Off Line Team Leaders (OLT's).
  • Directing the problem solving activities of the manufacturing area.
  • Analyzing processes for continuous improvement.
  • Analyzing and continuously scrap and detect products produced.
  • Analyzing and continuously improve overall plant efficiency.
  • Improve overall product quality.
  • Determine and prepare T/M daily work (Standardize work).
  • Determine and prepare section training requirements and plan.
  • Implement abnormal occurrence plan when necessary.
  • Supporting the efforts of other sections within the company to achieve goals and targets.
  • Participate is writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for department
  • Understand casting recipes and homoginization recipes
  • Ensure furnace charging practices are met to optimize furnace operations
  • Ensure billet specifications are met for the extruding process
  • Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by the Advisor or Management.

Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.
• 5 years of prior applicable experience in manufacturing.
• 2 years management experience required.
• Metal Casting experience desired.
• Automotive experience desired.
• Valid passport for travel required for travel
